Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Hooktakes (the "Service"), operated by Omadillo Sidikov, Tashkent, Uzbekistan ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

1. What the Service does

Hooktakes is video editing software. You upload video footage you own; the Service transcribes it, selects segments and renders edited variants with captions in several aspect ratios. The Service does not generate people, faces, voices or testimonials, does not buy, place or optimise ads, and does not post anything on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and use the Service for business purposes.

3. Your footage and your rights

• You keep all rights to the footage you upload and to the variants we render from it.
• You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and transform your footage only to provide the Service to you. We do not use your footage to train models and do not show it to anyone else.
• You confirm that you own or are licensed to use the footage, and that every person who appears or speaks in it has agreed to its use in advertising. You are responsible for any disclosures that advertising rules in your markets require.
• You must not upload footage that is unlawful, that infringes anyone's rights, or that shows people who have not consented.

4. Free variants and purchases

• The free tier renders 3 variants once per brand. We may refuse a free run that looks like a repeat of an earlier one.
• The full matrix is a one-time purchase per upload at the price shown before checkout. Before you pay, we show how many distinct variants your footage supports.
• Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, which is the seller of record for your order and handles payment, invoicing and sales tax. Its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

5. Retention

Uploaded footage and rendered variants are deleted 30 days after upload. Download what you want to keep.

6. No performance promises

We describe what we made, not how it will perform. We make no promise about ad performance, platform approval, reach, or how any platform treats similar ads.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no automated bulk uploads outside agreed limits, no use to violate law or anyone's rights. We may suspend access that breaks these terms.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may change these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and material changes are announced by email to active customers. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may end the Service with 30 days' notice and refund unfinished paid orders.
